"Steve Bennet, My insurance agent is completely Useless. I got a cryptic letter from citizens saying my policy was not being renewed due to not having an inspection report. The letter didn't even say what type of inspection. So I called my insurance agent. The lady that answered the phone sounded like she really couldn't be bothered. She makes up excuses like "oh you must have ignored their previous letter.." well, I received no previous letter, email or phone calls from anyone at citizens about any inspections. The agent was like "oh well, can't help you". What is the insurance agents function ? Why do we need someone who sits between the customer and Citizens and basically gets paid to do nothing ?"

"On 9/9/2022 I spoke to Steve Bennett's group and asked for full comverage on my vehicles. I am 70 years old and have a home n Holiday, FL 34691 where my daughter lives perminately since I purchased it in Jan 29th, 2018. I was not told on 9/9/2022 that they would "Assume that ment "Reinstating'" my "Snowbird" former contract of 2018?" From their mouth to my ears 9/12/2022. I would have rather been asked or told the groups outstanding subjects NEEDED for Full coverage? Is not that part of "selling" insurance and proper customer care???? My vehicles insurance has been with this group since buying my home in 2018. I am not a "Snowbird," but I do own homes in several states and travel a lot throughout the US. On 9/11/2022 my vehicle was in the storm while driving to work and a water puddle caused my engine to stop! AAA towed it to Pete's garage and the engine was gone; water had gone into the block! When I called Steve Bennett about this I was given the above statement in the quotation marks. Personally, everyone I have spoken to about this has given me the same comment....."Steven Bennett's group knows the climate conditions and should have "ask" me what my term of "Complete Coverage means:" prior to Assuming that a 70 year old lady would automatically read a contract that is stored in the file cabinet at Holiday, FL? To me? That is very poor buisness on their part, and could be looked at as fraud."

"We've been with the Steve Bennett Agency and State Farm for 20 years. Every person I've ever spoken with has been pleasant and helpful. When it comes to Customer Service, they're the best I've encountered. We've never had a bad experience. They've taken very good care of us. Service is important, or we wouldn’t still be with them. My husband has worked for an insurance company for the past 15 years. It's a reputable company, but we've stayed with State Farm at the Steve Bennett Agency because we know we can count on them to take care of whatever we need. We're happy with them. In my opinion, that speaks volumes. I realize no business can please everyone, but I'm surprised by some of the reviews. One person wrote a bad review because their insurance was cancelled. Since my husband works for an insurance company, I'm familiar with the process. First of all, more than one notice will be mailed if a payment is late. Insurance companies are required to mail a notice. Customers won't receive a phone call. In addition, a final notice with a pay by date to avoid a lapse in the policy will be sent. Last, there is a notification mailed that the customer's insurance has cancelled. It doesn’t make sense that the customer didn't receive any of the notices unless they moved and didn't change their address. All notices and bills are mailed from State Farm, not from the agency. Given the fact a bill is sent to advise a customer to make their payment and at least two other notices, I feel it's unjust to blame the agency for something that isn't their responsibility. I'm sure the customer was upset that their policy was cancelled. I understand that, but as a consumer, it's our responsibility to keep track of when our bill is due and take ownership rather than blaming the agency. Given all the phone calls, emails and encounters I’ve had at the agency, it’s difficult for me to wrap my head around anyone saying people in the office were rude. That’s never been my experience. Perhaps the agency wasn’t able to do what the customer was asking due to the laws and regulations they must follow. Whatever the situation, I get that they were probably upset about something which resulted in a negative review. I realize it's their right to give a review whether it’s favorable or not. However, I hope anyone reading these reviews will take into consideration all the positive reviews. Please know, my review is based on my experience which has always been good. I'm not related to or friends with anyone in the agency. I truly feel they're great to work with and they do an outstanding job. That's why we continue to do business with them. We don't shop around for cheaper insurance because cheaper isn't always better, especially when we’re getting the kind of service they offer. We hope the Steve Bennett Agency will be around for many years to come because we plan to remain loyal customers."

"We have been dealing with Steve Bennett since 1984...I have never had a bad experience and staff is always friendly and helpful. Hard to believe anyone had a problem here, but being in business myself I know you cannot please everyone no matter how hard you try! I know if your needing insurance or just advise regarding insurance this is the place to go. His son is now handling my boat insurance, a lot of experience here and well established in this area!"

"Very rude staff, most are related to Steve so they get away with disrespecting people. Twice I have had an encounter with the office manager and she is very rude and unwilling to help. She acts like it's a problem to help you understand what is going on with your policy. I have had Insurance for many years with this company and never had a claim. I have 3 windshields replaced over the last 3 years and BAM, guess who dropped me. Yep, all those years of paying out and this is the service I get. Well good riddance Steve Bennett State Farm, I'm going elsewhere where the office staff is a whole hell of a lot more pleasant. As for you Kelley you are one of the rudest and phoniest people I have ever met."

"I had my homeowners insurance through Steve Bennett for almost 30 years. I just found out that I have been without homeowners insurance for 6 months. Evidently I was sent a bill 7 months ago and did not pay it, so my policy was dropped. I had never received a bill. I have never missed a payment, and pay my bill as soon as I receive them. Bennett’s office never called to tell me I was being dropped."
